Quad Essay Contest

Would you like to: 

• Share information on an up-and-coming animal model or technique development?
• Become a published author in TechTalk or Contemporary Topics, but don’t know where to begin?
• Network with people like yourself, who are committed to a career in laboratory animal science?
• Meet with vendors who provide your facility with some of its’ most important supplies?
• Have fun while you learn?

Here’s what you need to do:

1.  Submit an essay (1-2 page, double spaced) supporting the 7th Annual Quad Symposium Theme, “Managing Diversity & Adversity”.  In your essay, discuss a new technique, animal model, equipment, etc. and the impact implementation has had on your facility.

2.  Essays should be submitted to:

3. Essays must be received by 3/15/08 to be considered.

A panel of lab animal science personnel, with a variety of backgrounds, will judge the entries.

Essays will be judged on:

a.       Information provided

b.      Practicality of solution

c.       Potential for idea to be used by others

The following prizes will be awarded:

First Prize (One Winner per Quad Branch):

$250 cash AND free registration to the Quad

Winners will receive assistance in submitting their essays for publication.
